Membership to BegaFigo is gained by an application, which must be approved by the committee. Even though all boats and windsurfers in the club are privately owned, it is not necessary to own your own boat to join BegaFigo.

Benefits

As a member you will receive full use of the club's facilities and the right to participate in racing, open regattas and social events running throughout the year. Members are offered special rates from our associate non-profitable sailing centre to practice sailing after the completion of their basic training. Accommodation in the area is also arranged in special rates with associate hotels and hotel apartments. As a member wishing to own a boat the club helps you to find one, suitable to your requirements and skills.

Obligations

BegaFigo has no paid staff; we all help to run our club. Members are expected to participate in the Roster, and do a race duty at least twice a year. Race duties consist of Officer of the Day, Assistant OOD, Rescue boat helm and rescue boat crew. The club will provide you necessary training for Officers of the Day and guide you to gain a rescue boat certificate. Members are also expected to attend the Annual General Meeting, to elect the committee and decide on other weighty matters. Members are obliged to follow club regulations when use facilities or sailing.

Fees

Annual fees should be paid to the club's treasurer at the Annual General Meeting or by standing order in the club's account or by JCC through this web site, from January to March the latest. BegaFigo Account number: Bank of Cyprus 0113-01-056887. When settled by standing order please notify the committee. Missing an annual membership, have to rejoin the club paying again the registration fee. The Committee has the right not to accept renewal of membership.
